I'm looking to buy one.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I want a fairly cheap one, but one that is going to work well.

I'm not really sure which brand is the best, but your best bet is to look at the reviews on newegg.com. you can prob. pick up a decent dvd burner for under $50.

Under 50$?! Really?
I didn't think there was any less than 70$.
The problem is...I don't buy anything from online. I want to go to the store and pick it up...hmm.
Thanks for that website though duroc- I'll check it out

I order all of my peripherals from newegg. It's safe - and their delivery speed puts amazon to shame.

I know, I'm old fashioned but there has never been a thing I have bought online and I honestly don't plan to.
I'd rather spend a little more money and go to a store and get it...at least I'll still have my sanity
I guess nobody really knows any store that I can WALK into and get a good one for a cheap price? Any suggestions on good stores to look into?

I'm calling some stores to find out stuff and calling most of them is like talking to my wall!!!!
Have you tried the more stero-typical electronic places? Best Buy, Circut City? My computer came with one so I'm not sure.

Yes, I've tried both.
And I tried Office Max, Office Depot, comp USA, brandsmart (don't ever use them)
Any other suggestions are fully welcome!

Q, maybe a DVD burner is worth not having sanity for a while. Maybe you need to. . . . . buy online.

Bought mine off eBay and it worked for a year. Now it won't burn anymore, but it will still read CDs and DVDs. Any idea? It was definitely worth it though.
