i have the LITEON external DVDR and i enjoy it a lot. it gets a bit shaky sometimes when you put a disc in but if you take it out and then put it back in, it's fine.
i like it because i can bring it to my friends house and let them burn stuff as well. then i don't have to have all my friends beg all the time for stuff

Posted: 6/1/07 at 11:44amI have a Pioneer DVR with Tivo - I love it! It has broken twice, and it is $200 a pop to fix it (but I have had it for a number of years now). It is very easy to use - you can burn the shows on your now playing list...as well as upload old videotapes and burn them to dvd.

Posted: 6/1/07 at 11:47amI had a VCR/DVD combo, but now I'm looking for a strictly DVD recorder.

I am looking for a good one too.
But i'd like to have the vcr/dvd recorder - so I can transfer all my tapes to dvd, in addition to recording tv to dvd.
