The Batman Begins gift set or whatever it is that they are releasing has as a special feature the prologue for The Dark Knight, the first 5-6 minutes of TDK, which is basically a bank robbery organized by Joker and his goons. There is a bootleg of it floating around and it's really, really good.

Hey Taz, do you know what the deal is with some of the Warner Bros.titles? I was about to but James Cagney's 'Man of a Thousand Faces' this month but discovered its not released on blu-ray. I thought all titles were released in both formats. This October 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' comes out and I see no sign of a blu=ray release either. Other titles such as "Mame" and "A Mid Summer's Nights Dream" which finally came out on dvd still are not out on blu-ray.

Whats the story with the older classic titles on Blu-ray?

scott - lol! I thought the same thing!

romantico, at this time the studios are rolling out the BD titles conservatively. I think you'll see mostly new/recent titles coming out at the same time as DVD. It's an awkward period for home video as many collectors are mixing and matching formats depending on what's available.

Besty is much more knowledgable than I about this issue though, so I'll throw this query to him.
