APPROPRIATE Reviews

I saw a production of this at Seattle Rep ten days ago. It was the first preview, so I don't want to judge too harshly. The set was really good, but the ending didn't come off well. The cast was solid. I did however truly miss Sarah Paulson's delivery of her final speech to her brothers on the staircase. That final few minutes felt really flat in this production.

Yeah this is really weird. A fellow board member messaged me about this. I didn't post anything in this thread.

Um totally unrelated to the topic but I just noticed when you copied my post that its posted from someone elses account....frogs_fan is not my account and I have no idea what is going on...so no one go after frogs_fan if you don't like the post.. they are innocent.  Anyone know how this happens or how to get out of it and back to being me.....

Most ridiculous decision I have ever seen...what the hell does she have to do with Broadway...with decisions like these we can start engraving BEACHES on the Best Musical Trophy.

I know that the upcoming award season makes a January-April run unlikely, but I'll throw Emma Stone out there as a possibility. It's been ten years since Cabaret. Her status has obviously risen quite a bit since then so she may not be interested in being a replacement again though.

If the delay has been scheduling conflicts I imagine they may stem from the incoming Mary's Teacher, who is a bigger name than the new Abe.

Casting news should be out later today. The next Mary Todd is not a former SNL cast member as recently speculated.

They're staying through Tituss's run. There should be info tomorrow regarding casting and another extension.

Just to temper expectations- The specific name I was given has multiple Emmy nominations, but has not yet actually won the award.

I got word yesterday that an extension into June and the actress taking over the role of Mary for about two months are both being announced at some point next weekend. Unclear if Cole is coming back immediately after those two months but they are definitely coming back at some point.

As far as I can see the upcoming replacement is not someone who has been floated in this thread.

I decided that I was going to get second balcony seats for this, since it doesn'tseem like a show that will suffer from cheaper seats. Going onto Telecharge, they are saying that a number of the second balcony seats are partial view due to a rail in front of the first row. Is that a real issue? Idon't re

Gad in no way gives off Bialystock to me, only that he is built in a figure that we associate with the character.

I completely agree. They're both Blooms. There needs to be at least a little bit of a notable age gap between Leo and Max. One of them paired with maybe Norbert Leo Butz as Max could work.

You'll have an answer tomorrow morning.

Betty Gilpin joins OH, MARY as Mary Todd Lincoln. Extended through June 28th, 2025!

Indeed. This person will bridge the gap between Betty and Cole's return sometime in April.

I had lotto seats for this past Wednesday's matinee and they were Orchestra Row C 12-14. Absolutely partial view, more like minimal view honestly. When Oliver's apartment was in the center all I could see was the door. I made it about five minutes before I moved to standing room

To me this production as currently designed and directed would feel a bit claustrophobic in CITS. I'm aware of the ceiling everytime I'm in that theater and this production needs some room to breathe. The stage space in the thrust configuration also seems too narrow.

I'd rather they go for a theater like the Imperial or Winter Garden and have on stage seating and build the runway out into the front of the orchestra if needed (which I believe was mentioned earlier in thi
