I just can't believe how amazing Bernadette Peters looks. Kudos to her and whatever God she prays to 'cause she looks fantastic.

No matter was Nikki does she never fails to annoy the CRAP out of me. I'll have to just sip on my drank and forget it's her.

Ok Tommy I know you're new...but WTF is that?! LOL
There's nothing like a semi-drunk aunt at a cookout, equipped with nobby knees, and a tank top that shows off a rather magnificent "tummy pooch." Priceless!!!
Ha thanks! It's just the latest gem from my animated gif vault of love.
I know it's been said before, but I'm watching Ugly Betty right now and Bernadette Peters is on and wow! How the heck is this woman turning sixty-one in a little over a month? She looks so fantastic! I always used to think she was in her late 40's. I just find it so interesting that she looks only a little different than when she did Sunday and practically the same as in Into the Woods and that was 18 years ago (I am, of course, referring to the filming, not the show itself). So yeah.
Also on another tangent I just got home from Borders. I had to have Sunday in the Park with George (London) special ordered and gave it a small listen on my way home. Now prior to this my only exposure of this version had been that splendid Tonys performance of "Move On" last year. And even though I'm sure I will grow accustomed to these vocals (and actually did like Russel's take on Marie on Children and Art), a lot of it just irked me. What's interesting is that I originally thought a lot of Peters' notes ("I'm just quoting mamaaaaaa" from the above song, as one example) weren't the best choices to make. Even so, I've listened to Sunday for so long now and just find all of it so perfect. I mean when I see the A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grand Jatte I not only think of it, but really do believe the main Dot (with the monkey looks like Bernadette. So it's a drastic change to have someone else singing these songs. Hmmmm...I think I'll give both versions another listen.
Oh, in summary - Ugly Betty. Bernadette. Woo. Anyone else really happy they are finally shooting in New York? I love the realism it adds. True it's a show with secret post-op supermodels, dead sperm surrogates, and America Ferrera somehow convincingly, well, UGLY, but still - realism.
