Its surprising to see that Elisabetta Canalis is safe; I'm really curious as to her fan base. Even though I can't stand Rob Kardashian, I assumed his sisters have enough fan base and tweet power to bring in more votes than her, the same with Ron Artest and Laker fans. Nancy Grace being in the bottom three wouldn't suprise me other than the fact that Elisabetta is safe.
DANCING WITH THE STARS does not have a bottom 3. That's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE? Two couples are added to the one that got the lowest votes. They may even be the top vote-getters. They only disclose who got the least amount of voters.
I'm very happy with who was eliminated. Although the Italian chick with the personality of a paper towel can go, next. I think the Pro-dancers get as many people voting for them, at this point, as do the celebrities. Funny how it was the unknown, new-girl who was eliminated.
Thanks for clarifying. These were the first full episodes I have watched of DWTS. It makes much more sense now.

ABC will need a better cast for next season because the ratings are continuing to drop. The results show was watched by 14.5 million viewers, which was down 36% from last fall's first results show.

They went up against TWO AND A HALF MEN, which garnered its best ratings, ever. That won't last, though.
I agree. I think people just tuned into that to see the show without Charlie Sheen. They won't care about it anymore now.

What you both said still doesn't explain the drop from the results show of season 11 last year.
That is part of the reason. It was also up against the season finale of Hell's Kitchen. It's funny for someone who isn't watching the show to care so much about ratings.

^ I don't want the show to succeed this season because they mainly chose a bunch of people who had stories in the media that are blown out of proportion to the event being covered, such as the number of reporters at the scene, the amount of news media published or broadcast, and the level of media hype (AKA media freaks.)
But righteous indignation music is SOOOOOO hard to dance to. Maybe a paso doble?

Yes, it does. If I didn't watch the competition, I'd have little interest in its results. Anyway, even if the numbers are down from the last season, I hardly think a show getting approximately 20 million viewers is going to be considered a failure.
I was dumbfounded by the judges last night. Maybe it's part of their plan, but they've rendered themselves irrelevant by not spreading out their scores, particularly Carrie Ann. Did she give anyone anything other than a 6 or 7? Felt bad for Chaz, but he's fair game to be sent home after than. Did Nancy Grace have a wardrobe malfunction that they caught with the delay? JR danced rings around everyone else, but they broke the ruules with the lift, and apparently their routine was more lindy than jive. Good for Nancy Grace and Ricki Lake for making such improvements. I think Chynna was a victim of dancing too well last week, I think the judges scored her too low compared to the others.
Yeah, I thought the scoring was odd. I personally thought Ricki was going to get negative comments for parts of her dance. I didn't enjoy it that much either. I also wish I could have enjoyed him more, but Carson Kressley wasn't as entertaining as he was last week.
Nancy did apparently have a slight wardrobe malfunction.
"On the European version that would be perfectly fine."
Nancy Grace
I gave all my votes to JR. I don't care if they broke a rule.....LOL

Still not going to watch, maybe I will online depending on who's left in the later weeks, but I came across this in the New York Times. The producers now consider the professional dancers to be the STARS. Maybe that has to do with the cast they chose.

Six years later the construct of “Dancing With the Stars” is being turned on its head. In some ways those pros — “Cheryl! Maks! Derek!” — have now become the headliners. The increasingly C-list celebrities lined up to participate have found they are no longer alone in the spotlight.
“There is this weird inversion of what the show was meant to be,” said Conrad Green, an executive producer of the show. “Now when our celebrity competitors meet their dance partners, it’s the celebrity who is star-struck.”
“Dancing With the Stars” returned last Monday for its 13th installment (two a year are produced) and attracted an estimated 19 million viewers, an 11 percent decline from last fall’s premiere, according to Nielsen. The pressure is on the aging series to compete with new Monday-night competition from a rejuvenated “Two and a Half Men” on CBS and “Terra Nova,” an expensive science-fiction series on Fox.
“Dancing” is counting on interest generated by competitors like David Arquette, Nancy Grace, Ms. Lake, Elisabetta Canalis (a model and actress best known for dating George Clooney) and Rob Kardashian, one of the lesser-known members of that reality-television clan. The casting of Chaz Bono, the transgendered son of Cher and Sonny Bono, has already resulted in a cascade of media attention.
But the star power this season is less than in previous ones, when guests like Kirstie Alley, Jennifer Grey and Donny Osmond competed. The lack of marquee names reflects the difficulty producers are having in landing high-wattage celebrities willing to endure the rigors of the series.

This used to be the most watched show on Monday nights, but now it is not. The ratings drop is continuing.

"Stars” like Nancy Grace and Rob Kardashian continued to turn off viewers to Dancing: The two-hour performance show only posted a 3.3/8; that’s down 18 percent from last week and its lowest rated performance show ever. Ouchie.

Chaz is probably turning off family viewers as well.

Actually, I had become a fan of the pros from before this season, so the cast has nothing to do with that for me. And once some of them start appearing season after season, how can you not know who they are? Especially since some of them end up doing other works because of the show, such as Julianne Hough.
I was okay with Elisabetta going home tonight. It wasn't shocking. Nobody knows who she is, and Maksim's brother is new. He doesn't have exactly the same sex appeal either, I'm afraid.

I watched the show online today since it's gettting down to the final weeks and it looks like this could be the first time Derek will not win since season 9 (where Donny Osmond won).
