Oh yes. I loved, loved Michelle Phillips on KNOTS. But then again I've been having a "love affair" with Michelle Phillips ever since she was a member of The Mamas and The Papas. So I may be just a teeny bit biased when it comes to her.

I wouldn't call commenting that they're right that it isn't a reboot (as many have claimed) but a contuation a mistake, but it's good to keep you occupied on a Saturday arvo.
Carlos, it was the TVGuide interview, and the ew.com oral history I was referencing re Principal. I should have been more clear, but it seems like (to me) she hasn't been close to them for a long time.

With all due respect maybe you should be referencing interviews in which Miss Principal has actually participated instead of interviews that rely on second hand information and hear say or someone's "interpretations" on her actions.
Read or have a listen at the two interviews I posted. She makes it pretty clear on how she feels about DALLAS and her cast mates.

No, that's more than fair. I get the feeling that their is some bad blood between them, but it's completely from what others have said, and not at all from anything she has said. I've seen the interview you posted, as well as the Paley Center archives interview with her, and as you say, I think she's simply done with the character.
(I would love it if they brought on the Knots twins, which I suppose, if this continues to be a success, could lead to a Knots revival...)

Posted: 6/16/12 at 6:38pmThere was talk that they'd release seasons 3+ as soon as they were done with Dallas--but it's been a year now. Even if they released it as DVD on demand like they are doing with Falcon's Crest, I'd be pleased. Knots seasons 3-6 really were, for me, the best years of primetime soap outside of maybe the first year of Peyton Place.

Payton Place was off the air decades before you were born.

Did I say I watched Peyton Place live? I have the DVDs from an old soap forum (the whole series was re-aired on The Romance Network in the 90s). But yes, that was thanks to the internet :)
(While we're playing counting games, Knots and Dallas premiered before I was born too...)

Posted: 6/16/12 at 11:00pmI am eternally thankful for the Internet. It sounds like some newfangled devise I could, maybe possibly, try to watch them old time shows I should know nothing about on. And then I can try to learn all I can about them to spout it out on here for the sole purpose of annoying a couple of people, not at all because I might love them. It almost makes me wonder why there's even a purpose to great forums, like this, with people to discuss things with.

Your opinion on my sense of humour is baseless. Your only experience of me is via the Internet.
