Sony Pictures is reportedly turning the iconic show into a feature film.

Every time GOOD TIMES is mentioned someone always has to fake dropping a punch bowl, clenching their fists and yelling at the top of their lungs: DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!.

I'm wondering if they will play this straight or if it will be parody like The Brady Bunch movies.

It's weird they're setting this in the 1960s. The original show aired from 1974-1979.

Yes I can't understand why they are backdating it to the 1960s unless it's going to be a prequel and JJ is going to be 10 years old. Or will this be the anti-Mad Men?

Same here. There's a signed still of him in a loincloth (from "Beastmaster" I think) at the Russian/Turkish Baths. I never see it without thinking, "He was heeeeere!"

I used to love "Good Times" as a kid. When I went to see a taping of David Letterman a couple of years ago, Jimmy Walker was one of the guests and after the show, outside the studio, he was walking around. Let me just say that he was very nice and talkative to all of the fans. Very nice! The middle school kid inside of me was just giddy about that!
