I think Mya will do great since she is a trained dancer. Thoughts on contestants?
I love Donny's energy. I think he'll go far if he can master the technique
So far, its been dull. Louis Vito was bad. He needs to loosen up because the expression on his face screamed "I don't know what I'm doing.

Damn you Tom DeLay...who did you have to be better...or at least have more energy...than most of the men.

GeLay wasmuch better than I expected. He really seemed to be enjoyig himself out there.
I may not share his politics but I do share his age bracket.
Let's go Tom!
Tom was...almost likable. Damn.
Donny killed it, though, and is ALWAYS likable.
I actually found Tom to be sort of frightening.

Tom is frightening and painfully awkward off the dance fllor, but he was better than Ashley at the very least.
Donny needs a sedative.
I hate that I dislike Aaron Carter. He was the best, but I think he's an annoying douchebag.
^Yep. He's a really good dancer, but as someone who's interacted with him many times, he's also a jackass.
I was just remembering how he came off on the E! show, "House of Carters." Nick was just as bad though.

oy-Ashley Hamilton - completely devoid of dancing ability.
btw-he's a comic?
Watching Tom DeLay wiggle his butt at the audience and then wink at the judges just about put me over the edge. I think I threw up a little bit.

He made me want to smack him with his rehearsal comments about being prissy and having to get in touch with his feminine side.
It will be a very full vomitorium by the time he gets bumped off...and it's doubtful it will be this week. Ashley has a bullseye on his back.
I only saw this from 8:30 to 9:00 between HIMYM and 2 1/2 Men. I saw the Iron Chef guy (thought he was pretty good for week one), Ashley Hamilton (sucked, but he's nice to look at. Especially when he's in his own clothes and you can see the tat sleeve), Donny Osmond (thought he was good and yes, likable), and the snowboard guy (sucked, and he needs to do something with that hair.)
I have an odd feeling that Donny is going to end up winning. He has a huge fanbase, from what I know. And, he isn't great as of week one, but he certainly did better than Marie, who made it to the finals in her season.
I wish they would just drop the celebrity thing and have a real competition with all the professionals. I mean, go total old school with anyone who has appeared. Pair them up, but make it more interesting by not letting them practice as much and putting more into what they can and can't do. Maybe add some rules that they have to follow per week or something.
Yeah, but the celebrity factor draws audiences. I can find videos of professionals on YouTube.
True, but for the past few seasons, the celebrity thing has just gone down the drain. I like to watch for the dancing more now than whoever is on. But, even the dancing has been getting worse and worse each season. I want it back to season 2 where there actually was a few decent celebrities. Not where one mediocre celebrity outshines the horrible.
For the life of me, I do NOT understand the appeal of this show.
It was amusing in the first few seasons, but like I said, it is less so now. That's why I want the professionals from it to have their own show.

This show is a favorite in my house. My 4 yr old granddaughter is demonstrating a great affinity for dance and often imitates the dances she sees while watching the show. I think that's a good thing for a little one.
Borstal, I never understood the appeal either. What gets me to watch is if someone of whom I'm a fan is on. This season it's Debi Mazar-I love her!
And I"m beyond interested to see what Macy Gray does.
Dolly that's the way my 6 year old is with SYTYCD. His favorite style seems to be lyrical or contemporary.
