The only thing that really makes me upset about Degrassi is that very often they feature entire episodes with extreme themes, but Noggin edits miliseconds off of Daria if those same themes are even mentioned indirectly

I wonder if MTV oks what Noggin shows. If so, that could be the problem.

My personal theory is that once Daria entered syndication, the producers self-editted the shows to get a wider market
It's really sad, but there are still ways to get the original episodes

They edit out a lot of stuff on Degrassi, as well.
Like last season when the completely cut out a plotline involving a girl getting pregnant and having an abortion.
Then the showed clips from the mutilated episode during commercial breaks and called them "mini-episodes".
It's frustrating, but I see why they do it.

And there is nothing wrong with Canadian programming.
Degrassi and Radio Free Roscoe rock!

One of the best cartoons ever made. My fav episode is where they go paint shooting...? is that what it's called? when they say "ow those paint thingies hurt?!?!" lol

oooh you guys talking about Degrassi: The Next Generation? That is my ULTIMATE guilty pleasure!!! I almost feel dirty watching it (since I'm in my mid-twenties ha ha ha). How cute is Craig huh? According to Entertainment Weekly, new episodes (season 4) start July 1st. YAY!

This thread is bringing back such great memories. Oy, the magic that was junior high. And I loved the Fashion Club girls' voices. Especially Tiffany's. Oh, and yes, the way the principal would say "Llllawndallleee Highhhh" was hysterical.
