By the thread title, I totally thought the album was titled because he was coming out of the closet.

I picked it up today at Target - it's on sale there for $9.98.

I've only listened to the first 4 songs so far. I like Declaration, not so much Hero's, like Light On, not so much the 4th song. I'm glad I bought it though - I'm looking forward to this Bar-ba-sol song I've heard so much about.....

^Just for the record, it actually DOES improve throughout the course of the CD. Pretty much all the songs I'm slightly "eh" about are in the beginning- Light On is the main one, but also Heroes and Declaration to an extent (actually.. nahh I love Declaration haha). The only other one I'm not a huuuge lover of his Mr. Sensitive. But other than that, really from Life On The Moon on, it's an EXTREMELY solid album! (I'm a fan of Come Back To Me also, but that one seems to have a lot of people on the fence)


The clear stand outs though are def Bar-ba-sol and Permanent. There seems to be nearly unanimous agreement on that.

I usually only listen to CD's in the car, so I'm sure over the course of the day tomorrow I'll hear the rest!

Mr. Sensitive is probably my least favorite but I still like it. I think this is just a really good cd. I will have no problem playing it from now on. lol
Bar ba sol is by far my favorite and Permanent makes you cry if you think of what its about. All the rest are fine too. I am a happy camper lol.

Permanent is definitely the song to make people cry. Especially knowing who and what its about. the more I listen to the cd the more I love it!!

Well that's the thing. Right now - having heard it once through I would say I like some of the songs, and don't like some of them. But I'm thinking after I've listened to it a few times, that might change.
