He and his partner Brian were one of the 18,000. He gave a very quiet, steady defense of gay marriage, asking the ladies how they'd feel if they had to wait for the state of California to tell them if they were really married or not. And that, regardless of the "religious and emotional issues--Hello! It's NOBODY'S BUSINESS."

It's not the entire interview, although I'm sure someone will post the entire segment at some point. If not, tomorrow (5/29) the entire interview will be up on The View website.
This was his very powerful and moving speech at last week's Broadway Impact rally.

Actually, the episode is up on abc.com now.

Thanks CATSNY.
I disagree with him about the romantic leading man comment. I think he was the romantic lead on Frasier. The ratings went through the roof when Niles and Daphne finally got together.
I keep telling her that.

I want to high-five him. That may be a little inappropriate considering how serious it is...but I want to do it nonetheless.
He was so powerful and intelligent in speaking about it on The View. There was nothing ANYONE could have said to refute him at that moment.
He is a very kind, down to earth man. What he said on The View was brilliant.

I enjoy so much the intelligence and integrity he displays when he discusses Prop 8. Yet, as angry as he seemed when discussing the idiocy of the Prop 8 decision; he had the calm, good graces to utter a quiet "thank you Elizabeth" because she had brought up the Alzheimer's Benefit on Monday night. Such a lovely man.
