I used to be a major Days fan, but the show is a joke now. The acting is absurd, the storylines even worse. I gave up on the show after the Marx Brothers invaded the middle east to rescue Philip.

I've only been watching for the last few years (and only once in a while); but, in those four years, the show was always a joke. I guess I find Hope to be the most tiresome character. The Middle East rescue is beyond stupid, I agree.

The show used to be grounded in reality. Now it plays like a comic book and it is really sad to see. It is really beyond awful. No wonder the show gets no Emmy nominations at all.

It's the same story over and over again. I watched it for about a year about 7 years ago when I had my days free... and whenever I catch it these days (if I take a day off or something) it's still the same ludicrous plot. Someone kidnapped... DeMira hanging out somewhere... Marlene (sp) deciding whether she loves John or not, Sammy going nuts.

The only thing that made John's addiction to pain killers worthwhile and watchable was that he was always sweaty and shirtless.

They need to find a new villain. Tony Demeara is just getting on my nerves. GET CREATIVE! The DeMearas can't be responsible for everything.

Basically everyone on the show pisses me off someway or another.

I've been watching Days for a few years now. I don't know why, I just keep hoping it gets better. I still don't like that Real World guy on it. And I'm still haunted by that awful virtual reality story with Greta and Austin, really after that the show can't get any worse.

I went to Interlochen with the girl who plays Chloe. She had died her hair yellow blonde at the beginning of the summer, but the counselors wouldn't let her re-dye her hair at camp so by the end of the summer she had a black skunk stripe in the middle of her head.

And I cannot STAND Shawn and Jen. I stopped watching it because the whole Jen/Shawn/Belle/Philip/Mimi/Rex thing was ridiculous...even though the island thing was the single worst moment in TV history.

I personally prefer the Mexican soaps... they have a beginning and an end, for one. And the acting is SO over the top. And the dialogue... but they don't pull this kidnapping crap.

I liked EastEnders too... oh, and there was anohter one, shoot, forgot the name... something or other of the Glen... I hate it when I can't remember these things.
