Days of Our Lives - Salem Serial Killer?

This is an old storyline, I havent watched in a LONG time (mainly because I work during the days), but can someone give me a synopsis about the Salem Serial Killer?

Was Marlena the killer and what was with everyone who died going to an "island"?

I still remember, in high school on summer vacation, the Marlena possessed by the devil storyline - that was classic camp!

And what happened to Stefano? Surely he's not gone...

Seriously, what DID happen? Was Alex the only one who didn't come back? It WAS Marlena right? What happened to Tony??

My question is when did Belle and Phillip get together, when did Shawn and Mimi get together, what happened to Crazy Jan, who got knocked up, who got an abortion, who has a kid, and who the HELL is Chelsea?!

oh my gosh i remember that storyline with Marlena being possessed by the devil... and then locked in a cage... and John being locked in a guillotine. man, that Stefano was determined, wasnt he...

oh dear, the things they come up with for soaps...


i mainly remember the tv commercials for it... they promoted it by calling the storyline "Lady in a Cage"... too funny

Zeppie, get with the page! The "Island" storyline was a couple of years ago.

Marlena-as-the-devil storyline was over a decade ago.

DOOL totally started to go downhill when the Passions writers (producers?) infected the DOOL scripts too. What the HELL WAS that??

Tiff, it was vice-versa. The Passions head writer or exec. producer or whatever started on DOOL before Passions. He was the one who wrote the Marlena-devil story

I don't know why I know this stuff; I hardly ever watched DOOL..just loved GH for a couple of years but my family is so obsessed w/ soaps I know all this stuff about them...

I stopped watching during that island storyline and Marlena at...the circus? But now that Carrie and Austin are back, I watch it on and off.

I know it was a long time ago, but was flipping channels and fell on SoapNet and they were doing a fluff interview with someone who writes for Soap Opera Digest and she was saying that she knew everyone who died on DoOL was coming back. And that sparked my memory.

Is there a website that has this plot all written out? It intrigued me when it was on but then I didnt watch it all the way to the completion.

I stopped watching Days during the whole island storyline. It just got too absurd for me. And I still missed Stefano, he made that show for me. I almost turned it back on for Austin and Carrie though, I adored those two.

I am faithful to GH though, and have been for a good 12 years now.

Don't even bother with Austin and Carrie. It's not very interesting; I liked Sami and Lucas together and I don't think Austin screwing over Carrie for the company or whatever is very loyal to his character. Plus didn't she just sleep with Lucas? Not loyal to her character either.

I really liked Stefano too. I also still like Lauren Koslow/Kate, and I miss that crazy broad, Vivian.

Okay, let me take a swing...

Tony was behind the whole "Salem Serial Killer" thing. They were all on the island and they all came back, I guess. It just took Marlena & Roman longer to get back and they did the dirty while on the island. That's all I know about that.

When Shawn was kidnapped by Crazy Jan, Belle thought that Shawn had just left her. She got with Phillip while he was gone. They got married and then he ran off to war and got wounded. Now, somehow in there, Sami was there in the war playing a man. I missed that storyline. So, Mimi got pregnant by Rex and thought that it would tie him down and he would leave her, so she had an abortion. That led to complications which left Mimi infertile. Rex found out about the abortion and left Salem. Shawn and Mimi started hanging out as the two best friends of Belle and Phillip and just started dating. At some point, Belle and Shawn were in a fire. They suffered from smoke inhalation and were apparently found naked. Neither of them remembers doing the dirty, but they did. That apparently resulted in Claire, Belle's new baby. (She seemed to be pregnant for about three months.)

Chelsea: When Hope came back to town after disappearing for like the 15th time, Bo was with Billie at the time. They broke up and Billie discovered she was pregnant. She said she had a miscarriage and blamed it on Hope. Then she went to Paris and the baby was "stillborn." She named her Georgia. This was all about 5 years ago, I think. She got clues that the baby was still alive. And they ended up leading her to Chelsea. How they ended up with a 16 year old is beyond me.

Chelsea, who apparently is a little bitch and can't drive well, had a few accidents in a car she won. She totalled it and the cops took her license away. Bo signed for a temp. license and gave her his car to drive. Somehow, Zach, Bo and Hope's 3 year old was at a sleepover and got out of the house. Chelsea ran over him and kept on going. Zach died. They donated some organ to Claire because they were a match. (Because Zach is Shawn's brother and Claire's father.)

That is the last I saw. Not bad for watching pretty rarely.
Anyone know if Shawn found out about Claire, yet?

my favorite was the twins, who turned out to be triplets - Kristen Blake, daughter of Stefano, played by Eileen Davidson.

Wow Colleen, I give you credit. I couldn't take it after Sonny left Brenda at the altar; it all got too ridiculous. But the Labine days of GH were the best, which should have been right around the time you started watching. Sonny & Brenda, Ned & Lois, Kevin & Lucy, Luke & Laura's return, etc. The good old days.

I'm still holding out hope that Rena Sofer will return as Lois. She was my favorite character EVER on that show. They brought some other broad on as Lois like a year ago, but she was dreadful.

They've actually brought back some really old characters lately. Tracie Quartermaine came back last year or the year before. Robert Scorpio returned, he was apparently not dead and was off working for some government agency all these years. Holly Sutton (one of Robert's exes) also made a brief appearance. Robin Scorpio is back for now. There are rumors that Anna Devane may be returning.

I am hoping Genie Francis decides to return as Laura, though she's been gone for quite a few years.

I do miss Brenda, she came back briefly for a short stint a couple years ago. But, I've grown to be a Sonny/Carly supporter since then.

I'm also still wishing Jonathan Jackson would return as Lucky. I used to worship the ground he walked on. The guy playing Lucky now is okay, but he's just not Jonathan Jackson!

OLTL is another soap that way too often has just ridiculous storylines. And they drag them out FOREVER, way longer than most other soaps do. I am so damn tired of them and the multiple personality crap.

Oh, and I also LOVED Eileen as Kristen on Days, but she returned to Y&R to play Ashley. She's still there.

I think Krista Allen was still Billie at the time. I don't know about the Swamp woman. I remember EONS ago, at least 13 years, at the end of one episode, Stefano had created three Marlena clones and sent them off to various parts of the world. The NEVER mentioned it agian. Talk about dropping a storyline...lol. And when they tried to cast Deidre's rl twin sister as a look alike but now they look NOTHING alike. heh

The princess Gina thing made me wanna vomit. I watched the show religously through all the crappy Marlena possession, the morphing, Isabella coming back as a demon. I was faithful. (I was the biggest Deidre fan in the world. She sent me Christmas cards and baby announcements. Now she just makes me laugh. Man, she is a BAD actress.) The princess Gina stuff was just too much. I now watch about once a month until a story sucks me in or I have no clients between 1 and 3.
