A lot of you know I live in north Florida (since 1969). I am proud of both of my kids- who were born and raised in Florida and my Florida State Seminoles! It's a nice place to raise a family and our winter weather is envied by many. I live in between St. Augustine and Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island- lovely places. Disney World is just two hours away. We don't have state income taxes either. Of course, we have our negatives but doesn't just about every state? Just pointing out that there are some good things in Florida. Kumbaya!

Hey, now. Nickelodeon Studios used to film all those delightfully evil gameshows from the 90s in Florida, like Legends of the Hidden Temple and Nick Arcade. You know, the games that were so complicated the children cast to compete on them barely ever won more than a few Goosebumps books and a helmet for their Huffy?
