Death

Wow, Orion....Deep. But a question I've pondered myself.

Here's what I think, for whatever it's worth. There's no heaven (as shoved down our throats in sunday school). There's no hell -- or rather, if there is a hell, we're living it now.

I think that when our physical bodies die, we do go on -- although in what form, I dunno. This isn't based on some religious belief of mine -- it's pure common sense. The first thing we learn in elementary science class is that "energy" can neither be created or destroyed...it just "is". That's what we are, once you get past the muscles, the blood, the enzymes, etc. -- we are "energy". There's a spark inside each one of us -- an electrical charge, if you will, an energy -- that propels us, that powers us, that makes us "us".

So when this life is over, and our bodies expire, that energy has to go somewhere...it doesn't just dissipate into the ether. It can't. We may come back in another life, I dunno. But I do know that this life we're living now is not "the final frontier" -- it could be the "beginning frontier" for some of us.

Again, just my personal thoughts and beliefs. Flame me, oh cynical masses, if you must.

From personal experience I think they do. My dad passed away in may from a battle with lung cancer he was only 58 and I can tell you, he DEFIANTLY let his presence be known. I think he did it more at the beginning (which was weird and freaky) and now I get a weird little something every couple of months that freaks me a little bit. I think at the beginning it was his way of letting us know he WAS there. I do not know call me a freak but I do believe.

so here is my TRUE TRUE STORY. I am not saying all should believe I am saying I am now a believer because of this cause it went beyond reason.

a month after my dad passed away my dad's work buddies stopped by my mom house and they gave her a card from everyone with $1000 in it. they presented her a duplicate plaque that they had put up at his desk in GE that says here worked a hardworking man with his name who can not be replaced on and on, and included his employee badge number 446...how sweet huh, I was all like chocked up when my mom read it...here is the freaky part. I have one of my dad's watches the one he wore up till his death, (they made us grab his things they took off the watch so I had to grab it cause they hustled us out I still wear it today) my mom said hey I found his other old watch, do you want it I said no you keep it (or give it to one of my sisters) well, she said the watch has been waking her up. it keeps going off at this off time..she said, I think I am going to play the lottery with the #. you know what time it has been going off since she found it like 3 days after his death 4:46 am. (his badge #) my dad would NEVER set it for that early he worked the 3rd shift.......my mother said I took the watch down for the bedroom and showed them (his work buddies)they were all freaked out and she never knew that was his employee id was 446 and I promise you he would have NEVER set it for that time regardless. We had a hard enough time as kids for x-mas early he was NOT a morning person. He came home around 12 and was out cold about 1:00. He was NOT nostalgic and would have set his old watch to it by any means. he usually got a new watch ready to toss the old one. so it was the freakiest thing cause I knew of the # cause she made me play it one day for the lottery so when she said how there was the # to the plaque I WAS even taken back.

So weird little thing that kind of makes me believe they do let you know I am ok, so you try to be too. But I understand people who do not believe, cause I probably would not either if I was not in the situation I was in. Like I said too...it was not just that a few weird things so makes you think.

Thank you Orion. Freaky Deaky stuff I tell you...I am a firm believer. I have a funny story about a hoop earring that fell out of my ear literally 5 x these past 10 months and every time I thought it is lost I find it plain as day in places it was not there the night before. ONE was my outside banister. My friend Natalie was FREAKED out cause she was with me when I lost it twice and was with me when I found it on the banister. The thing was he had a thing about me losing them cause my ears are sensitive so I bought these $30 hoops and I lost them a lot and he thought it was outrageous to keep buying the same pair. (He was a coupon KING) but I have YET to loose this pair. Could be coincidence, to me it is not cause they are not ruined in anyway and neatly placed out so it is odd to my standards.

As someone of the Jewish faith, I don't believe in hell. However, according to a friend (yes, bizarrely we're still friends) I am going to hell due to the fact I don't belive in the underlying Christian principles.
So, to that end I am inviting whoever wants to come to my tea party in hell. Special guests will include Gandhi, the Dali Lama, Buddah, & Hitler (as there are no levels of hell). Come one come all, reservations not needed.

I believe in the Biblical idea. We are a spirit, we have a soul (our mind, our will and our emotions) and we live in a body. When it is our time to die, the spirit and soul separate from the body. Each spirit stands before God and gives account of what they have done while on Earth.

I remember a priest once told me Hell may not be fire & brimstone but the absence of God for eternity sort of like being in limbo for eternity. Eternity is a bit much to contemplate
