DeepDiscount sale on now!

I checked out the rumor, and it seems to be true. It's their semi-annual DVD/Blu-ray sale from today (7/17) through August 2nd. I entered the codes: DVDTALK or HOTSTUFF, and they both worked.

Although the "discounts" don't seem to be quite as "deep" this year, hmmm... you have to dig for a real sale. Still I found a few discs that were really well priced.

So it's not a straight 20 percent off? Things are priced individually?

No the percentage is the same, but they go in and jack up certain prices before the sale starts. So you get 20 percent off of a higher than normal price.

Tricky, they are!

Everything is less, but (for example) Mamma Mia went up 3 bucks on Blu-ray before the discount sale. You would still get it for less, but only by 3 bucks. Not 7 or 8 bucks. See?

On the other hand, "Dreamgirls" on Blu-ray Disc was already priced at $13.87 going into the sale.

You can now get it for $10.40 (no tax, free shipping) with the extra discount. So some sale prices are really great.

Wow, WEEDS Season 4 priced $29.99 at Best Buy is going for $13.04 after the discount! Thanks so much for the heads up, Besty, I fear my checking account is gonna take a big hit today.

Spider, you have to actually put it in your basket and they'll give you a total, next to the total there is a box that says something like "promotional code," you enter it and it tells you the total.
How long do these usually last?

WOWZA...I can get season 2 of DOCTOR WHO for over $40 less than what is advertised in stores. That rocks.

Ridiculous, I just spent $100 with one click, not so sure opening this thread earlier today was such a good thing. But now I'm the happy owner of WEEDS Season 4 (which completes my collection so far), LOST Season 4 (also the one I was missing to have all released seasons), two Meryls (ANGELS IN AMERICA and one of my all-time favorite movies, SOPHIE'S CHOICE), and TRUE BLOOD... I seriously could not stop myself from finding more items and adding them to my basket.

They run this sale twice a year, with the following rules:

No pre-orders.
DVDs only - not books, CDs, etc.
A code can only be used once during the sale.
You can use a different code on the same account, which allows you to make multiple purchases.
It's 25% off the price shown on the item page.
If you order something that is "out of stock" or "backordered" you WILL get the discount when it actually ships, even if it's after the end of the sale.

Are you sure you can use different codes in different orders? They used to not allow that.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up! I got WARNERS GANGSTER COLLECTION VOL ONE for a song, basically. And THE LITTLE FOXES, and a couple silent films. I was wondering when they'd do their next sale.

During every sale that DeepDiscount has had over the past few years, I've placed multiple orders using a different code each time. On another forum (one specializing in DVD discussions) many people have already confirmed that they have succesfully placed multiple orders during this current sale.

Haha, That's why I'm super reluctant to go over the DDDVD. I haven't bought a DVD in forever (the last DVD i bought was season 4 of Lost and thats only cause i had a gift card to target), but i can think of more than a handful that I'd like to get, though netflix helps quell my urges to buy fairly often.
