Democratic California Governor Recall Effort

The Right Wing has launched an effort to recall Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom.  This must not happen!  It is vitally important to both our State and to our country that Governor Newsom remain in office.  As I write this, polls show that most Californians DO NOT want the Governor recalled.

If you are a Californian and have not yet voted, please do so by the September 14th deadline.

BIG mood...when this first started making news I about balked. CA is my home state so this hits differently, I remember Davis's recall even though I was too young to understand its implications at the time. Even his Governator successor seems to think this is insane. He hasn't said anything so strongly outright but his language seems to suggest it. And for polls? Need I remind you of 2016...do not trust them, JUST VOTE. CA may be mostly solidly blue now, but history shows us recalls are notorious for low voter turnout, and they need to show up in the numbers they did last year. Constituent engagement is more of a marathon, not a sprint. If they show up like they did last year, yes, the chance of no recall is high. But only if they show the hell up.

As expected, my fellow Californians have voted to not recall Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom.  All is well here in our beautiful Golden State.
