We had really wanted to be in NYC for the celebrations, especially the "Sail4th 250" parade of international ships. And, of course, the fireworks. But, the doctors don't think I'm yet "fit to fly" because of this cancer thingie. Ah, well. Can enjoy most of it from my tv here in So Cal. Next year, NYC ! At age 79, I am the youngest of five brothers, and the only one still living. We all served in the United States Military (Navy and Army) dating back to WWII. We offered up our lives in defense of a country we all loved, because this is a country worth fighting for. Recognizing that the United States has its faults, as is true for any country, I remain proud of my United States citizenship. STAY STRONG AMERICA !!HAPPY 250th !!

If you have a cruise ship full of LGBTQ+ passengers, why would you send them to a country (Turkey) that probably would not be overly welcoming? Are these issues/possibilities not worked out in advance?Instead, put a friendly port of call on the agenda. Valencia, Spain, comes to mind. Currently hosting the World Gay Games. Can't get much more LGBTQ+ friendly than that.
