I read the first Harry Potter book when it was published, and watched the first movie when it hit the theaters. That was where my interest stopped. I have not (and probably will not) take myself to any stage productions. However, early on I became quite obsessed with Harry's signature round black eye glasses. I have worn that style ever since.

Rosie had a heart attack just over two years after I had mine. Our symptoms were almost identical, including being in denial that we were experiencing something terribly wrong. We had really wanted to be in NYC for the celebrations, especially the "Sail4th 250" parade of international ships. And, of course, the fireworks. At age 79, I am the youngest of five brothers, and the only one still living. We all served in the United States Military (Navy and Army) dating back to WWII. We offered up our lives in defense of a country we all loved, because this is a country worth fighting for. If you have a cruise ship full of LGBTQ+ passengers, why would you send them to a country (Turkey) that probably would not be overly welcoming? Are these issues/possibilities not worked out in advance?Instead, put a friendly port of call on the agenda. Valencia, Spain, comes to mind. Currently hosting the World Gay Games. Can't get much more LGBTQ+ friendly than that.
