It was a hell of a ride, Mr. Hopper. You will be missed.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

For those of us who've been around for his entire career, it's somewhat surprising he made it to 74! Still, it's sad. R.I.P.

re: "For those of us who have been around for his entire career, surprised he made it to 74...".
Agreed. Gotta love the guy though. He gave money to Republicans, but voted for Obama. Only half bad, in every scence of the word.
Voted #36 worst villain of all time for "Blue Velvet".
I just opened another Bud in his honor.
RIP!

What a life!

What a career!

What a legacy!

As a good friend of mine says:

" My life is not a journey to the grave arriving saftley in a pretty well preserved body , but to slide in broadside, totally used ,up worn out and proclaim , WOW! what a ride!"

Dave Poland interviews Hopper
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter
