We have sloppy joes almost all the time at my grandmother's house. My cousin Stacey usually makes some when my grandmother isn't home.

We don't put coleslaw on Sloppy Joes but definitely on barbeque sandwiches. Yummy.

In the South, cole slaw on a hot dog is typical.

I like a Sloppy Giuseppe: Half ground beef, half Italian sausage, browned, then simmered in marinara sauce with onions adn green peppers. Put on an Italian roll with some shredded mozzerella on top.
