Anyone else just not into the second season?

First they have 3 weeks with no new episodes and then that awkward show this past Sunday... what's going on?

Billy Bones: Beware lad, beware.
Jim Hawkins: What, the one-legged man?
Billy Bones: Aye, but also, beware running with scissors or any other pointy object. It's all good fun, until someone loses an eye.

Sunday was the first episode I've watched since the second season premiere, and it was ridiculous. Thank God Grey's Anatomy is on afterwards though.

It has always been in the crapper.

First they have 3 weeks with no new episodes

Why does this keep weirding people out? TV shows almost always go into a brief hiatus during the holiday season.

The first season was good, but now it's just stupid. I did sit through the second season, but every time Susan came on, I wanted to vomit.

Well, I was expecting something good after the wait.

Marlene: I liked the first season because the whole Mary Alice mystery was interesting, but this Applewhite family is booooring.

i watched the second season until george(roger bart<3)was killed off. i think that it just got really farfetched and boring

Yeah, I hated George but he made it so much more interesting. Plus, it's Roger Bart. And now Bree is suddenly and alcoholic?? And Mike doesn't hate Susan?

I also think it would have been better if Gabby didn't lose her baby because then we might have had some character development but now she's back to her regular self.

The problem with this show is that it has the most unsympathetic characters in the universe. Susan is annoying and self-absorbed, Lynette (much as I ADORE Felicity Huffman) is bitchy and self-serving, Gabby is a trainwreck without a speck of human decency, and Bree...well Bree is flawed and fabulous.

If it weren't for Bree and the all too rare appearances of Nicolette Sheridan, this show would be dead to me. I keep trying to like it, but find myself unable to. But there's nothing else on Sundays!

Such a shame. L&O:CI was my Sunday show, then DH...but I think I'll stick with Grey's Anatomy.

I never watched the show again after the original episode, but I love the title of this thread. :)

They have to get rid of Alfre Woodard's character and storyline. It has nothing to do with the rest of the show. On a positive note, I'm pleased to see that the gay storyline (Bree's son) is being handled rather matter of factly. I can remember, not very long ago, when a man-to-man kiss or two half-naked men sharing a bed together would have ruffled more than a few feathers. And the character is underage, to boot. I also think the fact that he's not a very sympathetic gay character represents some amount of progress, as well.

first of all this is the 3rd season, not second......and, Sundays third season opener was brilliant!

It's in its 3rd season? I had no clue.

I would hardly say the episode was brilliant. I thought the dialogue was incongruent, the acting rather flimsy and the drama too gimmicky.

Okay, I know the whole thing is practically a gimmick since the beginning, but it used to be an interesting gimmick!

and my God....it's TV show, not great art, music, or literature.....it's meant to entertain, and it does.

It's the show's second season. Alfre Woodard appeared for the first time in the last episode of the first season.

It is the second.

And I do agree that it's gone downhill. It's getting a little better...but no where near S1 quality. The Applewhites are just not a good enough replacement for the Mary Alice mystery.
However, I do adore Lynette...and her beautiful husband!
