Posted: 1/11/06 at 2:03amI loved this show during the first season, but I haven't been watching much at all this season. I'm just not into it anymore for whatever reason. Perhaps it's the absence of Steven Culp...

I still have faith. Could be sophomore slump and then next season or the rest of this season could be on fire.
And, yes, it is amazing that one of the most watched shows has all this gay gay gay hot gay stuff!! WOW.

Posted: 1/11/06 at 5:44amWell, as I've mentioned on the previous thread I started i still haven't seen any episode of the 2nd season yet, but I am really looking forward to it !!! But I have to say, that Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman give two of the BEST acting performances I've seen on television for a looooong time !

The Applewhites are boring. Yawn. I wish Gabby hadn't lost her baby because then she might GROW a bit... she was entertaining in the beginning but it's getting old now. And what's up with Bree suddenly being an alcoholic?
The only reason I still watch is because of how much I adore Marcia Cross.

I didn't think this was back on track at all.
Lynette's story came out of no where.
Bree's and Susan's story were trite and contrived.
I could care less about the Applewhites.
Gabrielle has become completely unlikable -- I still like Carlos' character though - I have no idea why.
Why we're going back to the Mike's wife's dad again is beyond me - I thought we'd moved past all that. Are they trying to recapture what they had last year by going back to that?
I keep watching hoping it gets better again...

I retract my statement from last week -- I thought this week's episode was fantastic. The highlight for me was that scene between Lynette and Tom at the dinner table. All the craziness happening, that quiet scene showed why Felicity Huffman wins the awards -- best line reading of the season: "This dinner is very good."

I think that the Gabby/Carlos thing will go somewhere after last night's episode. I think they wanted to get rid of the Jesse what's his name story so they had her miscarry. I am sure she will be preggers by the end of the season.
I kind of agree that this season is rather hit and miss, but the actors are so fun to watch. Huffman's last scene last night was right up there with Carmella Soprano's crackup in the all time best acted scenes in TV history. And how can you hate Alfrie Woodard and Marcia Cross? I'll keep watching and hope it doesn't disappoint much more.

Posted: 1/23/06 at 6:29pmI'm sorry, but the catfight with that bitchy nun alone made it worth watching.....why is there ALWAYS a backlash???
#37re: Desperate Housewives gone down the crapper
Posted: 1/23/06 at 7:40pmI think people's (mine included) expectations were so high for the show after last year that it almost inevitably had to have a backlash -- then again, I never stopped loving Lost so never mind...

Finally caught the two most recent episodes on DVR last night, and I thought they were very watchable. Some of y'all just needed to have a little faith . . .
I am glad that they are tying Betty's fate together with Bree's, so that the Applewhite plotline can finally be more closely incorporated into the stories of the other women instead of off on its own.
And yay for the (brief) return of Harriet Sansom Harris!
