Wow, I'm at such a loss for words right now. This show never ceases to amaze me!
What did you all think?
*Spoiler*
Was that Rex at the end? The twists in this show... wow, I really am speechless.

Loved it! Whose kid is NOT theirs???
(I thought it was Paul -- Mary Alice's husband. But I could be wrong!)

I didn't start watching until after Mary Alice had killed herself, I believe I tuned in the season Rex died...so I wasn't too sure who it was.
From the camera scan it looked like Gabrielle's youngest daughter (whose name I'm drawing a blank on) isn't hers. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if Mj wasn't Susan and Mike's, with how their story line is going.

It's definitely Paul. This was a great finale, and I'm so pumped for next season!!!!
I am gonna miss Drea though.

Oh, I loved her character. It is sad she's leaving...
I'm curious if Dana Delany will finally return...

Ha, shows how much I know. I guess I might have come in the second season then. I know I saw the episode where Rex died.
As far as Mary Alice goes, I saw something where they pulled a chest out of her pool, and then something else where she borrowed someone's blender... I know it sounds vague but I know so little about her character.

Posted: 5/16/10 at 10:53pmMary Alice was dead/killed herself as the show began. She appears in flashbacks from time to time. The first season finale centered around her, and that was also the same episode in which Rex died.

Np. I didn't think the episode was as great as everyone else, thought, but for some reason I can't stop watching. I'm glad they are FINALLY dealing with Andrew killing Carlos's mother. For a while I had wondered if that was just something that dropped when they moved ahead five years two or so seasons ago. I knew Drea was leaving, so I was just wondering how they'd do it. I did like ***SPOILER ALERT**** when she turned around and said, "It's in the detonator."
I wondered if they were hitting us over the head with showing Gabby's kids virtually the only time in the episode after the baby switch mention, but then I wondered if it was just a red herring. I'm sure I'll still tune in next year.

Posted: 5/16/10 at 11:25pmI thought I remembered either her or the priest saying it was only a few years ago, but I could be wrong.
#12'Desperate Housewives' season finale...
Posted: 5/16/10 at 11:57pmWe know she resigned over the guilt a few years ago, but we don't know when the actual incident happened. It's probably MJ, but with Susan already moving, it seems like she has a pretty steady storyline. It would be interesting if it were one of Gabby's kids as it would prove the chubbiness isn't genetically predisposed. lol

Posted: 5/17/10 at 2:45amSPOILER (even though it would be kinda foolish to read this thread before watching the episode :P ): The twist of the bomb was brilliant! I still enjoy the show overall. The return of Paul could be excellent--maybe a great way to end the series by connecting to season 1 loose ends (along with Bree's revelation to Gabrielle).

I loved the same thing, Jerby.
I thought Brothers and Sisters was the better finale tonight, though.

Posted: 5/17/10 at 9:50amI agree, have a feeling it's MJ. They were focusing on him just a little too much.
#20'Desperate Housewives' season finale...
Posted: 5/17/10 at 10:32amYeah- ya think it was a metaphor of them selling MJ's dinosaur and then not being able to get it back was a foreshadow? Also, I thought the episode was a bit choppy- especially with Lynette's situation. Don't understand the point of bringing back Mary Alice's husband. Also, Gabby hated Carlos' mother and it wasn't the car accident that killed her so why would the secret ruin their friendship?
#21'Desperate Housewives' season finale...
Posted: 5/17/10 at 12:26pmBecause Bree doesn't know all that. The next season may begin just fine between them because the car incident is what saved Gabby's ass (John the gardener). It will be interesting to see what happens with all of that.

Posted: 5/17/10 at 1:39pmLynette's scenes were choppy and just bizarre: Okay, my husband is still in the front yard, but I am not going to scream. I am delivering this baby and you, creepy homicidal teen, are gonna be all up in my bidness helping. You know, before you leave and allow me to call for help, you really should turn yourself in for the women you strangled. You want me to call for you? Sure, just hold my brand new (really big) baby girl and her very delicate neck.

LoveloveLOVED the bomb switch. By far the best moment of the episode.
Dana Delany won't be back. They said they'd bring her back if her show didn't get picked up, but then it did.

While they did focus on Mj, they probably did that to throw us off, the writers are sneaky like that.
I, too, had a horrible feeling that they're going to announce that next season is the final season but I realized the show is at such an interesting place right now I honestly can't see them just calling it off.
The ratings are still good, aren't they?
