Desperately Seeking Apartment in NJ

Any suggestions on the best way to go about finding a rental property in New Jersey? My partner and I are interested in relocating to North Jersey. Of course, we would need easy access to Manhattan. Ideally, we’d like a 2-BR, but nothing so outrageously priced that we wouldn't be able to save some money to eventually buy if we liked living in the area. Realtors don't seem the least bit interested in helping to find a rental. They're only interested in you if you're looking to buy. And craigslist hasn't been mush help either. It's full of scams and misleads. So, any suggestions on where else to look? Any info or advice will be greatly appreciated!

Try www.nj.com where you can go to their "classifieds" page and search listings from multiple newspapers.
