Posted: 9/5/08 at 8:37pmBravo to Mary Ellen Emmons. I remember her from when Alaska was part of my sales territory as being an excellent librarian, and very concerned with censorship.
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story...

Posted: 9/5/08 at 8:47pmThe fact that Palin had the nerve to ask that question is horrifying. I don't care if she was speaking theoretically. She needs to read "Fahrenheit 51" (if she actually reads anything other than vetted campaign speeches).
I ask in all honesty/What would life be?/Without a song and a dance, what are we?/So I say "Thank you for the music/For giving it to me."
