Streep certainly holds major buzz right now--and the biggest of released films (which, yes, doesn't mean that much just yet). I will give this--from what I have seen online, it's *possible* she gets a nom for Prairie. But, it does seem inevitable that she gets her 14th deserved nomination.

There is nobody Oscar loves more than Streep. Othe than the fact that it was released in mid-summer, I think she has a great shot at an Oscar nomination. I'd put money on it. She'll for sure get a Golden Globe nomination.

I just saw this movie this afternoon and thought, other than Meryl Streep's perfomance, the movie was awful. I just finished reading the book which was a witty, bitchy expose of a ridiculous industry. The screenplay was written as one of those Kate Hudson-Rene Zellwegger-How to Loose a Man While Brining Up Helen In Ten Days, type of movies. The charcater of Miranda was nowhere near as good as that created in the book.

I guess it's just further evidence of Streep's talent that she was able to take what the screenwriter turned into the typical, feel good movie villian and make something non-typical out of it.

I saw the movie on Saturday (first movie in over a year), and I really enjoyed it.

I also plan on reading the book before the summer is over.

It was a great movie and she should get a nom unless people are crazy.

I saw the movie a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it. And I thought Meryl was absolutely brilliant. But when isn't she? She managed to take a character that could have been absolutely hated and turn it into a complex, great character. One of the greatest characters I have seen in a movie in recent time (granted, I don't see a ton of movies).

I absolutely love Meryl Streep in this. She makes the audience somewhat sympathize her, which is brilliant. Of course, she IS brilliant!!

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

They'll re-release this around Oscar time. Best believe, Meryl will be nominated.

And too much competition?

Who's more likely to be nominated for an Oscar?

Streep or Beyonce Knowles?

I pity the fool who says Knowles.
