...in Snow White (1987).
If you want a fun/camp treat before the Monday morning blues kick in tomorrow, here you are. You're welcome.
Anybody actually ever see this movie?

Posted: 9/8/14 at 8:10pmI remember watching this when I was younger and Diana Rigg was a terrific Evil Queen. To this day, I still think the actress playing Snow White, Sarah Patterson, is probably the most beautiful woman ever to play Snow White in a live-action film. After this movie, she only did a few more films on and off several years later. What's interesting about this film is that it follows the version where Snow White spent many years with the dwarfs and was not poisoned as a little girl and did not spend years in the glass coffin.

Whatever happened to the King in this movie? He just disappeared.
It's weird watching it again for the first time since I was a child. Some bits I remember so well, and other stuff I have absolutely no memory of.
The ending was well done, I think, where Diana gets increasingly older as she approaches Snow White on her wedding day, eventually crumbling into dust and blowing away on the wind. I do remember that part scaring the bejeezus out of me.
Most of it doesn't really hold up - Dame Diana is the definite highlight.

For a late 80s direct to cable/video production it's better than it should be, but I'd love to know the backstory behind such a bizarre film.
And Diana was in Follies right around the same time...

"Whatever happened to the King in this movie? He just disappeared."
A dwarf said at one point in the film that the King died during a battle.
