'Cause I did, and it sucked balls!!! I've never been so humiliated in my life! American Idol was on and I just heard that Cheno was on a trailer for Pink Panther. At least I asked my grandmother to tape Idol for me (how embarrassing). But last night, we had to sleep by the wood-burning stove. I'll say it again, I've never been so humiliated in all of my life!!
For those who had power, I hate you!!
To my great surprise no! We are usually a neighborhood that does too. So sorry you missed Idol jasobres.
Why were you humiliated to lose power? It wasn't like it was something you did. Its just a power outage, and since you are online now I am assuming you have power again. Its not that big of a deal.

It is a big of a deal if the rest of Westchester County had power and Vista didn't (which is exactly what happened.)

Oops, double post.
Nope, still not humiliating. It happens. If you want to talk bad experiences (not embarassing mind you) I could tell you about the ice storm we had here three years ago. I went without power for 10 days in the middle of February. I lived in a large apartment complex and since they paid the electricity they viewed all of us as one customer so they ignored us and took care of the places around us that paid individually. I had to sit in my little apartment huddled under about 12 blankets and look out the window and homes right next door with power and heat and running water and other things like that. American Idol and a commercial were the least of my concerns. It was one night, nothing to freak out about.

why is losing power humiliating??
Annoying, yes...but Humiliating??? That doesn't even make any sense..
UNLESS you didn't pay your bill. Did you forget to pay your bill?
My friend in Weston, Mass. didn't have power most of the day, then it came back, then it went out, and then it came back again. Strange.
Yeah I don't see how that is humiliating either. Remember the huge blackout two years ago? I was definitely sitting in a hair salon with bleach on my head when that happened. Thank Goooood the water didn't stop (it did in some areas) or I would have died.
My paper did not include the sports section today - I am humiliated and scarred for life . . . I now cannot read about the Bruins defeating the Trojans last night in basketball. My world will never be the same.
I actually find short power outages (For less than a day, and at least in SoCal where it is not cold) can be kind of fun if you make an adventure out of it. Last one we played Trivial Pursuit in the hallway with my neighbors by candle light and flashlights, drank wine and played with our pets . . .
Oh wait, we were humiliated.

Odd Exotic...I would have FREAKED if I had been in your position. Thank God you still had a water source or you would have been in some big trouble...
