re: losing weight for cats

Is this a professional production requiring you to do this? If not, they have no right to ask you to do such a thing.

re: Daphne Rubin Vega

You should watch what you say. Daphne and Anthony Rapp read this board as do many Industry Leaders. You are just a child and you just proved the old saying that children are to be seen and not heard. Now go back to your room and pick up a spelling/english book and study a bit because you obviously need some assistance in those areas. You are a horrible speller and you just butchered our English Language along with insulting a very dear member of the Broadway community.

re: Rent and Marfan Syndrome

One of my closest friends died of Marfans, too. She was 23 years old and dropped dead in front of her friends while playing basketball. She said she felt funny, stood up, looked around and died right there. The EMT's said she was dead before she hit the ground. Marfan's is so scary because most people don't know they have it until it is way too late. God bless you Melissa, I will always remember you.

Rent Review

I loved Sarah Silverman's cameo as Alexi Darling. I laughed out loud and wish her part was a tad bigger.

re: Rent attendance anecdotes

Hey Anthony: I am Tracie's friend, Dianna, and it was such a pleasure to attend the screening in Baltimore with you guys there. The pictures I took with you and Wilson and Tink turned out beautifully. I don't have to tell you our audience's reaction and how much we adored the movie because you were there and I am sure you could feel and hear how much we all loved it. I love that Mayor O'Malley gave Tracie her own day. She deserves it. Be well and Happy Thanksgiving and it was a pleasure meeti...

re: Why is there so much favoritism in theater?

Oct 28, 2005 — 12:02:23 PM

I posted this on another thread but it really belongs here: I work at a well known theatre (which I need to conceal so I don't get in trouble) and the director casts the exact same 2 people in every single show regardless of the fact that they are inappropriate (at times) for the roles they were cast in. Personally, I believe the best actor should get the role, period. My director has missed out on some incredible talent here in DC because she continually casts her 2 favorites. I feel this ma...

re: SERIOUS ADVICE TO ACTORS

Oct 27, 2005 — 3:09:46 PM

I would like to know what you think as well, Avigdor... Let's turn it back to the directors seeing you have now stated how you feel actors should behave. My questions: Why is it that directors in smaller theatres cast the same people over and over and over again in lead roles. I work at a well known theatre (which I need to conceal so I don't get in trouble) and the director casts the exact same 2 people in every single show regardless of the fact that they are inappropriate (at times) for th...
