That famous Bo Knows Nike 1989 commercial really opened him up to a new group of young fans, including me ("Bo, you don't know Diddley!"). If you can, check him out on YouTube with George Thourgood at the Live Aid Philadelphia concert.

I knew he'd been sick for a while, I'm still sad to see him go.

Rest in peace, Bo.

Call the understudy / I can't go on tonight / I'm drinking with my buddy / I'm getting good and tight / Before they raise the curtain I'll be higher than a kite / So call the understudy I can't go on tonight

To make this "On Topic", without Bo Diddley, there would be no "Born to Hand Jive" number in GREASE.

Without Bo Diddley there would be no Rock and Roll. One of the the true musical founding fathers. In memory ever green.
