You didn't write for the Drake Hotel back in the 70's did you? They used to show that commercial endlessly.

All I know is, I gave up NutraSweet about ten years ago and the regular migraines I used to get dropped down to about one every ten months or so. About twice a month I have a normal soda, no artificial sweeteners. That is if you don't consider the dreaded high fructose corn syrup artificial.

Yes there is. It is called Swisshotel.
And there is a wonderful Drake in Chicago.
I loved that hotel.

I love the Drake In Chicago.
I stayed there several times a year when i had that show.
Chicago is a magical city and the food is fantastic.
I loved the high tea at the Drake. A great thing to take clients to.
Oh. Is Dragonfly still around. The greatest chinese meal i've ever had.

My wife's friends had a wedding shower for her at the Drake (many years ago). We are having brunch at the Ritz (here) to celebrate our birthdays.
I do not know Dragonfly - what area of Chicago?

Posted: 3/11/05 at 11:47pmWhen I lived in Chicago, a group of us from work went to the Drake for high tea, and a chunk of the ceiling crumbled and fell on our table. Other than that, it wasn't all that terrible--just mediocre. By the way, the person who was actually struck by the debris still had to pay full price.

Dragonfly is about 5 minutes from the Drake. Around a 12 minute walk in downtown Chicago.
