His film "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice" was a profound influence on the Roxy's lifestyle. His "Unmarried Woman," a landmark.

Love both of those. And of course, "Down and Out in Beverly Hills."

An era is over.
And let's not fprget (one of my all time fave, fave movies), NExT STOP GREENWICH VILLAGE, starring the late great LENNY BAKER. Shelley Winters, Ellen Greene, the ultra young Chris Walken, and others.
If you're an aspiring actor, (or not), a film NOt to be missed.
I always wondered what kind of career Lenny Baker would have had. An early young death of the AIDS epidemic. I think he passed on around 1980ish? IMHO his performance in this movie is just brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

Time for a re-watch of that one. Well, soon. It's late.
Let's not forget his and Larry Tucker's hilarious script for I LOVE YOU, ALICE B. TOKLAS!
RIP Mr. Mazursky.
I posted this in the other thread, but I'm still amazed how few people have seen his masterpiece, ENEMIES: A LOVE STORY. It can only be described as a lyrical tragi-farce. Utterly original, with knockout performances from Anjelica Huston and Lena Olin.
And yes, I love NEXT STOP, GREENWICH VILLAGE. Shelley Winters' best performance by many, many leagues. She's just incredible in it.
