re: Disney World

I've been to Disney world 4 times between 1976 and 1995. I loved EPCOT in the 80s, but in 95 it was starting to show a little wear and it was obvious they were trying to move in a new direction which, in my opinion, was not really in the spirit of the park. And I have to say, I'm getting really tired of the sit-in-a-box-and-get-shaken attractions. There are WAY too many of them and they are all basically the same thing with different little movies. My last visit, Typhoon Lagoon was my favorite. I spent two days there.

re: Disney World

I've never done any of the water parks there, but one of my favorite things to do is rent the little speedboats they have on the lagoon in front of the Magic Kingdom and Bay Lake, behind the Contemporary. Those things are a blast.

re: Disney World

I really didn't like Blizzard Beach. The whole concept of a water park on a snow-covered ski resort was really bizarre. I felt like I should be freezing cold. And the lines were horrendous. Typhoon Lagoon is simply gorgeous. The snorkling was fascinating and the wave pool that launches the huge tidal waves was a blast. The lazy river setting all the way through is stunning. By far the most beautiful water park I've ever seen, although Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels is still #1 on my list. It is the queen mother of all water parks.
