I know many will disagree. But I think it is about time.

Posted: 6/20/06 at 12:20pmI am. I used to love it when I was a kid. And now I find it boring. And kids don't seem to find it to thrilling. It needs this makeover.

Posted: 6/20/06 at 1:20pmI've only been there once, and I was 10 when I went, but I remember loving it.

"Jamie O'Boyle, a Philadelphia-based cultural analyst who has studied Disneyland and theme parks, said he was not surprised that fans were leery."
And one could hunt far and wide and never find a more perfect example of what a pathetic world we live in.

Posted: 6/20/06 at 1:57pmI have been looking foward to the version. They are adding things from the new movie, which will be cool. Also I am very much looking foward to the new Finding Nemo where the submarines used to be.

Posted: 6/20/06 at 2:48pmDollyPop- Alien Encounter was remade into the Stitch encounter - WHICH IS HORRIBLE. It is supposed to take place before stitch lands on Earth, but he already speaks English and calls himself Stitch, which Lilo named him. Anyways, it's a bad attraction, but this Pirates makeover on the other hand sounds interesting to me. Can't wait to see it at Disneyland during Gay Days in October!

Were you on Haunted Mansion in Florida or California? It's Disneyland in Anaheim that has the new HM effects (floating Mdme. Leota in the Seance room, new Bride, etc).
Anaheim is also getting a more elaborate version of the Pirates Makeover, and our submarines are coming back!!!! Albeit with a Finding Nemo theme.

wow. is that new bride in D-land?? thats creepy. and i am usually not for updates.. but thats a good one, since the old bride looked like a mannequin.
-it reminded me of the corpse bride.
I love the Phantom Manor in Euro Disney- the bride is the whole focus of the ride.. and has a great score.
I hope they dont change the Pirates Ride too much.

Posted: 6/21/06 at 11:06amThe Haunted Mansion is called "The Haunted Manor" in Paris. I believe it tells the story of a bride who was deserted at the altar. I say "I believe" because the narration was given in French. Although I speak French, I am not fluent in the language and have to listen carefully. When I was visiting the attraction, there were about a dozen Muslim children who were screaming when the walls started to "stretch".
