Attorney General Blumenthal was considered a shoe-in, with leads of > 20% over both potential GOP candidates. However, the NY Times has published an article claiming that his claims about his military service are lies and/or exaggerations.

Posted: 5/18/10 at 7:01amAs a CT Resident, I am pissed!Blumenthal is toast. May as well give Linda Mcmahon Dodd's seat now. The election was his to lose.He is done. Finished. We don't have another Democratic candidate who polled as well as Blumenthal.Time will tell, but I do not see how he can recover from this.
