Are you the type of idi...human...who won't see movies because an animal is killed but will see movies where humans are killed? Do you like animals more than humans?

Often, yes.

Spoiler, kind of, I guess: I confess, when I saw the movie "American Psycho" for the first time, I was seriously disturbed when he held the gun up to the cat on the street. However, when he decided to shoot the woman instead, I was incredibly relieved.

When I worked in Chicago, there was a homeless man who set up camp in front of my store. He had a cat. At least once a day, a customer would come to me and complain that I had to "Do something" about that poor cat. Not once did anyone ask me to "Do something" about the poor person.

There was a homeless guy in Chicago who made the national news last month. Someone took his dog, worried that the poor thing needed a home. After a huge outcry the person brought it back "No questions asked." When the dog came back, people poured out gifts, toys & food for the dog. The human? Not so much.

I love my cat, but really people.

A lot of people are like that. Usually people who do that have such inflated egos that they can only love something that doesnt talk back, you know, have a mind of it's own, with possibly opposing viewpoints.

In short, most people I know who are into animals more than other people are A1 jerkoffs.

Unfortunately there is also the influence of human behaviour vs domestic animal behaviour. Rarely are you going to find a cat or a dog who commit robbery, assault, rape, childhood abuse, spousal abuse, fraud, murder, war.

Sometimes it's just easier to love animals more.

If that makes me an A1 jerkoff, so be it. I can live with that.

I agree with you, Mamie.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

I like both equally, but when an animal is abused it's slightly more upsetting because they're innocent and helpless. some humans are as well, but not as much as animals. anywho....

Mamie and shames... glad to be in the A1 Jerkoff bundle with you all.

I like people, a lot. I also like animals, a lot. The difference is that humans make choices. Animals, not so much.

This topic reminds me of the scene in Independence Day when they're in the tunnel in LA and the firewall is coming towards the car, and the woman, kid and dog are running for their lives. Then the dog finally reaches safety, the crowd cheers - as thousands of people are pulverized at the same time.

I prefer the taste of most animals to humans. Humans have too many trans fats.
