What's your favorite kind of nut...cashews, peanuts, etc.?

I like sesame seeds, almonds, pistacio, chashews...pretty much everything. I don't care for walnuts though.

I like cashews... I'm allergic to macadamia nuts and some other kind, I can't remember the name.
I love peanut butter way too much. : )

Actually peanuts aren't nuts - they're legumes. But that's neither here nor there....
Love cashews and almonds. And being a good southern lady, I'll put pecans on just about everything. I adore them.
For some reason I just can't get the fascination people have with macadamias. They just don't taste that good to me.

I do enjoy all kinds of nuts. But, I don't seek them out--except for Pecan Pie.
But, I am one of those weirdos who hates peanut butter. I can handle peanuts when I am starving on an airplane.
But I bet I could enjoy P(2)nuts.

Posted: 12/4/04 at 9:15pmNo one mentioned a favorite at this time of the year...Chestnuts! I became hooked on this a few years ago at a friend's house on Thanksgiving. They are sweet and smooth in taste. They are actually quite healthy as they are fairly low in fat.

Yenta - do street vendors still sell roasted chestnuts in NY? I remember about a hundred years ago seeing them but I haven't seen any in the last few years.
Now I have a craving for them!
