In Advanced Drama (at a high school) we have to make a short film... none of us have used a camera before, and this is part of our film unit...
Here's the catch:
1. Film must be basic boy-meets-girl, boy-gets-girl, boy-loses-girl, boy-gets-girl-back plot
2. Film must contain a revelation of space (a setpiece or prop turns out to be something it's not)
3. Film must contain a revelation of character (ditto only with a person)
4. Film must contain water
5. Film must contain fire
6. Film must contain triangles (like in blocking)
7. Film must contain more than one set
8. Film must contain music from an unexpected source
9. All dialogue in the film must be famous, easily-recognizable direct quotes from classic movies or plays.
And my group sucks.
Ouch.
