I can't find any confirmation on this, but if it is true, I am very sad about it. I loved her in Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and so much more. I saw her in Nunsense as Sister Mary Amnesia and she was great!
It's confirmed on her website:

Heaven got a lot funnier over this last month! I can't think of "Grease" without picturing her and that PE gong. Very, very sad.
I heard this early this morning from a friend. Truly a sad week! Thanks for the laughs!

Loved her. She was a hilarious Mae Peterson in a Music Fair tour of BYE BYE BIRDIE.
May she rest in peace.

Great in everything she did. So funny as Eve Arden's "thorn in the flesh" in Grease.
Aww, that is sad news indeed. She was adorable and funny.
"Miss McGee, it's so loud!"
I loved her in Grease 2.
wow, just a day for sad news. loved her a true funny lady
This is a quote from Nunsense creator Danny Goggin regarding Goodman:
" As I told a friend, she was the only performer I knew who could walk on stage as Mother Superior and say, 'Are you ready to start?,' and have the audience in stitches. She didn't even need a funny line. She was the embodiment of comedy."
I laughed just THINKING about her saying that.
Tangent: Didi Conn must be a wreck right now! She was in Grease/Grease 2 with Dody Goodman, and was on "Shining Time Station" with George Carlin!
I was lucky enough to have lunch with her and her family to celebrate her birthday last year and Carol Channing called her to wish her a happy birthday. Hearing Carol sing Happy Birthday was priceless. (We did not see Carol but we heard her voice as she sang to Dody. I only met her once but she was a very nice lady.
She lived a great and full life but my heart goes out to her family. They are the nicest people!

Remember her as the secretary in "Splash"? and, of course "Mary Hartman, Mary Harman"
Sad.

Oh, this is sad...
Now that it's been confirmed, I must add my expression of appreciation for her brilliance as a comedian.
