Lance to Jake Gyllenhall at the Espys (Lance was the host):
"Jake, why are you sitting in the front? I thought you liked it in the rear."

Good lord, get over it. His writers make a reference to Brokeback and the whole world is in an uprage? Do you think that when he took the role he didn't think "how many gay jokes am i gonna have to listen to after this?"?
I thought when he mentioned mcconaughey and then said: "jake, eyes up here." was quite humorous.

But it wasn't funny, it was stupid.
Not to mention, a bit outdated.

He thinks he's funny because he rides bikes with Matthew McConoughy and Jake Gyllenhaal, two other boring and unfunny celebrities. Maybe the three of them combined can form a personality.

just remember Matthew was the "sexiest man of the year". blah!

I think what he said to Jake Gyllenhaal was extremely rude.

they might be "5 minutes ago" but we (gays, straights, whoever...) still have to accept that they're gonna happen.

I highly doubt Lance came up with said joke by himself. Hosts of awards shows usually read pre-written scripts. Maybe you should channel your anger at the writer of the joke not nescesarily the person who delivered it.

He laughed as he said it. He thought it was funny, or he would have refused to say it. People do have choices in these matters.
And I'm not angry - just surprised that someone would actually find that amusing at all, never mind how many months after the movie left theaters.

I agree- Brokeback jokes were funny for about a day, if that.

He did make a cancer joke. He said he told the producers of the Espy's that he'd give his left nut to host the show. Get it? 'Cause he lost a testicle to cancer.

He got the okay from Jake before he did it.

Breaking away from it being a Brokeback joke/ gay joke it was pretty bad. Not funny in my mind at all. The delivery was horrible as well.

His delivery is always bad - he's an athlete, not a comedian nor actor. He has all the charisma of a paper plate.

It was ESPN - that's all they care about - taking it in the rear. It makes them feel good to belittle others sexually - cause the steroids they are taking are shrinking their winkies. When you got it - you got it. And Lance had it - but has finally lost it, and I think he knows it too.
