So I've decided that duet acting pieces for two females might just be the hardest things ever to find. Does anyone happen to know any good ones, preferably comedic but fine either way? Just any scene from a play that sparked your interest?
Check out The Importance of Being Earnest...the scene between Cecily and Gwendolen is a classic.
Check out...
"The Miss Firecracker Contest" by Beth Henley
"Five Women Wearing the Same Dress" by Alan Ball
"The Odd Couple" (female version) by Neil Simon
See also "The Women" by Clare Booth Luce. Act one, scene four I believe is a duet piece, or at least part of it is.
Dee Dee and Emma from "The Turning Point". Not really theater related, but a good mix of comedy and drama. Also dialogue from the film "Stage Door". Not sure what you are looking for, but just some ideas.
"Stage Door" (Theater 'related')
