Does anyone own an Acer Netbook?

I'm looking at picking up one of these for my DD (a 7th grader). Any thoughts or comments? Pros/cons?

I have one but the screen cracked after only 3 months of use. I had insurance and they sent me half of what I paid for it. I do have to admit I loved that computer but it is very fragile I closed the top very gently and the screen cracked.

I am however thinking of getting a new one as my Dell is sturdy but weighs 7 pounds and it is too heavy to carry anywhere except my desk to my bed.

I have the Acer Aspire One. Love it. I use it mainly for Internet and email access when I travel. Keep in mind though...no internal CD drive and limited memory.

They have one with 2ram and a 250gb hard drive for around 400.
I am saving for one in deep red.

No, not yet....still trying to learn more about them and our other options!
