I thought it was hilarious--better than the first one. :)
DeNiro has been a parody of himself for a long time now. It's like he feels he's paid enough acting dues & just wants to be rich & famous now. Sad for his talent. Nice for his bank account.

Another vote for "much better than the original". Hi-larious.

Hardly hilarious, but much better than I expected. Despite a few Hollywood lapses of demeaning and stupid toilet humor (what is with that, Hollywood??), the film is played straight and not on a sit-com level at all. Streisand and Hoffman easily steal the movie and seem to genuinely have fun playing off each other. Barbra, in particular, looks great and comes across very comfortable delivering her Borscht-belt styled humor. Even Stiller lands some humorous bits as a straight man, tho his g/f is a washout and completely forgettable (and not even attractive).
MEET THE FOCKERS is a helluva lot more entertaining than the D.O.A THE AVIATOR.
You didn't like The Aviator? I haven't seen it but it is on so many best of lists and is in a three way fight for Best Picture. Interesting.
I thought Barbra was so lovely--carefree and relaxed in her work. Would love to see her do more films where, like this film, she lets go.

I agree, jrb. Maybe she can relax more when she's working on a project not of her own devising.
Re: THE AVIATOR. Pay no mind to the "best of" lists. The movie's a dud.
Jinxie steals the show.
Actually I've not seen it yet. But the scene in the commercial where the dog gets flushed down the toilet is just stupid. Not original at all.
Very enjoyable . Mindless entertainment - good way to while away 2 hours

I saw a screening a while back and loved it! I'm in the "better than the first" category, because there wasn't as much gross-out humor. It had more meat to the story (and more main characters!), so it seemed better overall to me. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Do we get that adorable Ben Stiller in a Speedo again?

No Ben in a Speedo...?
Dang.
And just a glimpse of Owen Wilson in a Speedo in that other movie. Is this the new morality?

Ash...hooooooole.
That's all I'm going to say.
"that WOMAN is BARBARA STREISAND for pete's sake!"
yes, babs did a movie called FOR PETE's SAKE ... there were a few of us who saw it ...
I just saw it today-it was hilarious!!!
That baby was so natural...heh
But I'm seeing Phantom tonight, I can't wait!!
*hugs Captain_Obvious* That seriously made me laugh out loud. It was the scene that stole the movie.
"He let himself out of the play-pen, put on Sscarface, and glued himself to the rum! That's it!" Oh I almost died.
It was a fun night out at the movies.
