Exactly..I couldn't even believe it was acting...I'm kind of a freak so I like to study actors sometimes instead of actually taking in the film..which was what I planned to do for HOTEL RWANDA but I foud myself totally captivated and just..into it..and few movies get me REALLY REALLY into the lives of people like that..


Brilliant is a word to describe Don Cheadle. And I know that by him not winning the Oscar, it doesn't mean he's not the best, it's just a trophy, blah blah blah, but seriously..his performance goes down in history...how could they miss the chance to truly make a mark like this?! I mean I'm sure Don Cheadle will get other chances but this was PERFECT.

HOTEL RWANDA will be around in years to come. It is going to be used as an instruction tool. It is a piece of history never really recorded.

Western- it was Jamie Fox..who sure did a good performance..but NOTHING compared to the greantess of Don Cheadle!!!!

Oh, right, how could I forget that? Hm, I watched Ray and Hotel Rwanda in the same day... I agree, Don gave a much better performance (in a much better movie).

You should all read "We Wish to Inform You That Tomarrow We Will Be Killed With Our Families" ... this reporter went into Rwanda shortly after the genocide, and he wrote about everything, Rwandan history and why it all led to this..life after genocide, war..it's incredible really.

And the ending paragraphs were just....

Yes, it's a book. One of the saddest, most beautiful, most detailed piece I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Seriously though, I respect the author so much for doing what he did, it took loads of guts..and he's such a good writer.

Yes! You have to! It's a book no one should be without. It's difficult to read at times because it's very graphic...but by the end trust me you will feel very educated and...angry.

i love this guy and have a for a long while. i feel a bit jealous now that he is becoming THE SH*T. i loved him when he was in BOOGIE NIGHTS and DEVIL WITH THE BLUE DRESS. i want a t-shirt with his pic on it that says, "Hands off bitches, I saw him first!"
