Double-majoring?

Is it possible in college to double major in a performance art and something else, such as, say, marketing and drama, or writing and drama?

If so, between marketing, writing, and drama, which two would you recommend (this is a few years away, but I just want to know) that I double major in, given that I would minor in the third?

Theatre is a huge major but its quite possible to major in something else. I'm actually majoring in theatre and communications so I have my work cut out for me. If you’re choosing between marketing and writing, I would pick marketing. If the whole theatre thing doesnt work out, marketing is a more reliable fall back. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

A double major is hard. A double major with theatre is INSANE. If you're up for a challenge by all means. I agree with thenextfiyero on the marketing thing. It's a good fall back.

also look at each college your looking into, there are barely any BFA programs that will let you double major.
if you plan on gettin your BA, then i think double majoring is a very smart option if that's what you want.

look into UMich...they easily allow a double major, they also encourage it...

i'm sure it's POSSIBLE, i don't know how probable, though.

emerson has a theatre education degree -- you may want to talk to them about your options there.

i say go for it. i know i'm going to double major in voice performance and technical theatre of some sort, so whatever you do that makes you happy.

I plan on double majoring in musical theatre and massage therapy.

Right now, I'm on the borderline whether I'm going to double major in History and Theatre. I know I'm definetly majoring in History and at least minoring in theatre, but my advisor is trying to persuade me to double-major. I know it's a huge undertaking, and that's why I'm hesitant. But I know most of the theatre majors at my college are double majors, so it is possible. :)

i suppose it depends on what area of history your majoring in and what you plan to do with it.
