So many great memories.
Nickelodeon used to be the greatest channel ever.
Amen, Priest. Hallelujah.
Hey, anyone remember SALUTE YOUR SHORTS?

Do I remember it? I think I could probably sing the theme song on cue.
Me too.
OF COURSE I remember "Salute Your Shorts!!" I think I can still sing the theme song:
We run, we jump, we swim and play
We row and go on trips
But the things that last forever
Are our dear friendships
Camp Anawana, we hold you in our hearts
And when we think about you--
--it makes me wanna fart!
(It's "I hope we never part." Now get it right or pay the price!)
Now we can share a lifetime of the fondest memories
By the lake of Anawana
Set in the old pine trees
Camp Anawana, we hold you in our hearts
And when we think about you...
...this thing just fell apart!
Think Anawanawana! Speak Anawanawana! Live Anawanawana! UG!!
Thank you, thank you! All from memory!
except for one or two minor words you got it all right. CONGRATS!!!
Man, Nickelodeon was the channel. I mean we had
David the Knome (sp?)
Eureeka's Castle
Salute Your Shorts
Double Dare
Family Double Dare
Are You Afraid of the Dark
and the show where two Kuwala (sp?) bears lived outside of a girls window in her Eucaliptis tree and they used to take her into their world. I can't remember the name of it but it was my favorite.

I used to like Wild and Crazy Kids. Probably because I was about as wild and crazy as a nun.
Me too as well as HEY DUDE!!!
The show with the koalas was "The Noozles" or maybe "The Nuzzles." All I remember about it was that it was Japanese and the bears lived with a girl named Sandy, and didn't the koalas come from somewhere in outer space?
And "David the Gnome" was my introduction to Tom Bosley! And "Eureka's Castle..."
"Them, us, they, me! Eu-re, Eu-re-1-2-3!" Remember Quagmire and Bog, the twin something-or-others who collected thumbtacks and broken coffee pots?

Pete and Pete was good. But Clarissa Explains it All was my favorite. I was so depressed when it ended.
Oh, and old-school Rugrats was my other fave. Before it suddenly because popular and Nickelodeon started adding characters and fart jokes everywhere.
oh, that Koala show was The Noozles...way fun stuff!! Sandy was the cute girl whos dad was an archiologist and they haven't seen him in years and years...dont know if he died though. But yeah, Pinky was the prissy pink koala who had her magical compact, and her brother Blinky was the sweeter bear.
PETE AND PETE was one of the greatest shows. Kind of a kiddy, funny WONDER YEARS. Ahhhh, I loved it.

It was so weird seeing older Pete in that mini-movie with Bill Clinton. Anyone remember that?

Which movie was that?

It wasn't a real movie- just this thing that aired on TV or online or something. It was so weird- older Pete was this guy working in the White House and he helped Clinton with the vending machine or something. Or was it the Xerox machine? And I think a golf cart was involved at some point, but I'm not sure.
The Secret World of Alex Mack had some good episodes.
ok this is probably a dumb question but..in Pete & Pete, did they ever explain WHY both boys have the same name?? lol it's just so random...I don't think there was an explaination though.
I loved that show, Priest. I mean, LOVED

I loved Clarissa Explains It All too!
*starts singing, never to stop*
Na na na na na na...
All these shows are the best kids/tween TV shows. Ever.
It's a shame that all the kids these days get is crap.
And I remeber being obsessed with Figure It Out, hosted by Summer Sanders.
Loved Figure it Out, Doug, and Salute Your Shorts (I never remembered the title until reading this thread). Clarissa was great too -- I had a crush on the guy who climbed into her room by ladder. Sigh; so romantic.
How old were you, Gov? 2?

I remember being shocked when I found out Summer Sanders used to be an Olympic swimmer.
And I liked the guy who climbed into Clarissa's window, too! I think his name was Sean, but I'm not sure.
