Seems like I'm going to have a great BWW reunion, then! It'll be so nice to catch up with old friends, and perhaps meet some new ones as well.
I just hope I don't drive my poor boyfriend too Broadway mad! I think he's in for a bit of a shock... But I warned him!

Where do the boyfriend's interests lie?
let's get to planning a Doxy itinerary.

Here's a solution: Doxy and his BWW friends go off to show after show while I entertain the boyfriend!
Every problem should be solved so easily!

That's a rather bad idea.
Doxy, have a wonderful visit. How nice to see your smiling face here, again!

My boyfriend is well-cultured, but hardly a theatre freak. He is Czech, but is studying to be a Russian and English teacher. Unfortunately, and I only just realised this, but he's a few months short of 21, which is definitely going to impinge on our fun. I never even thought about that because, of course, it's not an issue neither here nor in Australia.
But interest-wise, he's really into pedagogy, so he would love to see a typical American high school. Apart from that, just the typical young gay tourist stuff: famous sights, shopping and partying.
And Addy! It's lovely to be back. Hopefully I won't disappear again!

Hmm.. Well, there is a bar or two that is 18+ (Splash has "Twink Tuesdays" - gag me with a spoon - that is always 18+ and their "Campus Thursday" is sometimes 18+ and Rush, around the corner, is 18+. Obviously, they do charge cover because of that.. and perhaps you boys may divide and conquer once or twice and you can check a few other places whiel he is otherwise engaged..
I hardly call NY high schools 'typical', but it's easy to wander across one.
I live just around the corner from the Frank Sinatra School for the Performing Arts (which is housed in a lovely new building) and it is right across the street from Kaufman Studios where, among other things, Sesame Street is filmed.

I wouldn't mind seeing a few different places, so it may just be that I have to leave him behind!
The Performing Arts School sounds great! Even I would be interested in seeing that!

Ha ha. I'm sure a Broadway Worler or two could take him out for a fun time for an hour or two so you can check out a bar or lounge...
The Sinatra Performing Arts school is also right across from the Museum of the Moving Image if that is something that strikes your fancy. I keep waiting for the school to do something that strikes my interest so that I can see what their theatre looks like.. it just opened this year..

and what's on your agenda in the gay-marriage haven of the USA so far?
YAY! I can say that!

I'm so glad you can say that as well!
Well, I'm planning on seeing a few shows - at least Mormon (student rush or SRO if I can manage it), Sister Act and Priscilla, plus anything else I can get cheap tickets to.
Clothing is REALLY expensive in the Czech Republic, so I'm planning on buying a whole new wardrobe... My boyfriend will probably be looking to do the same. Nowhere is cheaper for quality clothes than the US!

I'm here! Arrived last night and slept for 11 hours almost immediately...
Today we did Times Square, Macy's, Empire State Building (well, we looked at it), Central Park and the Met. All in all, a productive day's walking and sight-seeing!!!
