Also, I'll totally need show recommendations! I'm a bit out of the loop right now, so any advice would be mightily appreciated!

Shut up, boobsie, before I punch you in the tit... arm. :) And I promise I'll do that in person right after giving you a bear hug!
And bluemoon, if we're thinking about the same Aussie, then visiting my dear friend is one reason for this trip.

Doxy, I am looking forward to that bear hug and the punch in the tit. I remember a night in June (28th to be exact) we stumbled around Sydney..will we have a repeat performance in NYC?

Don't break Boobsie!
What recommendations would you be looking for in particular? We can get to work and make a Doxy's Guide to the Big Gay Apple! Shame that you'll just miss pride, but at least it won't be quite as nuts. What are the exact dates of your visit?

We'll be arriving on the 30th of June and departing on the 13th of July. I wish I could be there longer, but I only have so much time I can take off from work.
Missing Pride is also a bit of a bummer. But a Big Gay Apple guide sounds like fun!
I'm excited about the 4th of July, though! It wasn't intentional, but I think it'll be crazy and a whole lot of fun. And shows... I want to see at least 5!!! Book of Mormon is sold out, but do they have student rush or a lottery? The others I'm not so worried about, I think that getting tickets won't be a problem.

You can get individual seats for Mormon if you're willing to pay the full ticket price (not premium though).

A Priscilla reunion could be fun. Mormon's is tough. I tried getting tkts for my bf for his b-day which is this month, but the best I could do is August.

Yes, Mormon is pretty much sold out, but if you want to pay top price, they have cancellation line, obviously, as ell as standing room - if you are willing to wait all afternoon, and lottery. You CAN stand on the SRO line and enter lottery at the same time.
The 4th of July fireworks should be a blast!
Alrighty, now what other types of things / places do you have in mind? I am sure I am not the only on here who is willing to contribute...
