Yes, they announced that Prince was stuck in traffic when his award was called.
I'm not surprised that "Listen" didn't win. It's a good song, but I don't think it's worthy of any awards.

I sort of don't care for the fact that "Love You I Do" sounds almost identical to "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" as performed by Natalie Cole. Maybe they were supposed to sound similar but it's too close for my taste.

Yes. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST had three Oscar nominations for Best Song, winning, of course, for the title song.
